Emma started Voyage to provide a comprehensive funeral service that would ensure that family is the focus. Compassion and care are of the utmost importance, with every funeral service given unique attention, so each wish and suggestion is achieved.
Often as the first point of contact for individuals who have recently lost a loved one, Emma is extremely conscious of the role she plays in the funeral planning process and the level of support each family requires.
The entire funeral care team at Voyage all have one focus in mind and that’s ensuring a family’s wishes are matched and each service reflects those personal requests, without sacrificing the integrity of the funeral.
We concentrate on ensuring no mistakes are made, you’re supported through your grief, and we provide a level of service unmatched to anyone else. A funeral is a deeply personal experience – and our aim is to respect this for each and every family.
Emma is constantly developing herself to ensure she can provide the right level of support for families, as well as pass on this knowledge to the team.
After gaining a qualification from the National Association of Funeral Directors for Certificate of Training in Funeral Service Awareness, Emma is completing a range of other qualifications in this area.
Her past skills include a BA (Hons) degree in Business & Finance, as well as various other financial adviser exams, and she spent 16 years working for a well-known pensions and retirement company in the UK.
“From the moment someone passes away, we will respect and care for them, look after the family, and take them through every step of the funeral arrangements.
We will be there before, during, and after the funeral any way we can help.
I wanted to create a funeral directors that becomes almost an extension of the family during a period of grief – Voyage certainly does that, going above and beyond to ensure delicate needs are met.”
